Black Eyed Peas [2 Albums]
Elephunk is the third album by The Black Eyed Peas, first released in 2003. It was their first commercially successful album and their first album to feature their new female vocalist, Stacy Ferguson (a.k.a. Fergie). Singles released from Elephunk included "Where Is the Love?", "Shut Up", "Hey Mama" and "Let's Get It Started". Many of its songs became popular through being featured in advertisements; "Let's Get Retarded" was re-done and renamed "Let's Get It Started" for the commercials for the 2004 NBA Playoffs, The song Hands Up was put in the movies Rebound (film) and Taxi (film), while "Hey Mama" became something of a plot-point within Garfield: The Movie and "The Boogie That Be" was featured in several iPod commercials, as well as being featured in the movie The Rundown (staring The Rock).

Asked why the actor was taking so much time to announce the launch of the much-awaited political party, he said it was justified. "Politics is too big an issue. And he is taking it up. I think it is reasonable on his part to take some time. I think he is likely to announce the decision in August," Aravind said.
"He would not take decisions in haste. Whatever he does, he will do it with caution and after weighing the pros and cons. We have waited for him this far, can't we wait for another couple of months?" he asked. No emotions are easier to evoke than fear and pity. But comedy is hard. It takes great and correct timing to tell a joke and get a round of applause. Sunil has been here for quite some time but his struggle to make it the film industry began ages back.
Sunil is polite and distant with strangers but during an interview, he compulsively is open and forthright. His language is endearing and appears honest. His latest film Andala Ramudu is running to packed houses and it's his time of glory has begun. There is only thing he keeps making it clear that he is a comedian and he will be one. He wants to continue doing small roles.
Venu Madhav after acting in Hungama and Brahmanandam also after acting as a hero reportedly said they will nevr try a comedy hero's role again whatsoever. Ask SV Krishna Reddy and he says the reason is that the comedian loses his importance the moment he acts in a full fledged hero oriented film and they became the character thereby losing their identity. But if he does his original tiny act he is recognised for what he is. But see what Sunil has got to say on this, "A comedian can last long and his life span on the screen can be extended by updating the skills and improvising performances. But a comedy hero can last only two or three years. I will not work as a comedy hero anymore but will give it a thought if only the story is the hero and i am the comedian. The filmmakers spend so much money and invest ona hero like me , i can't afford to see it not run. I don't want anyone to suffer on account of me. So may families are dependent on this one film. I can still work in movies and make money but what about others."
Sunil adds, "I am saying this because i feel it's difficult for a comedian to sustain interest amongst audiences for a long time.. the story should work in his favour. Tell him about Rajendra Prasad's career and he says he's just not an exception. "I have never considered him as a comedy hero, for me he is alawys a hero. He is exceptional in doing tragedy scenes. He is actually a hero but comedy dominates in his films. Rajendra Prasad is a great actor capable of doing all the navarasas."
About his commitment to work the actor adds, "Once i take up a job i don't rest till it's completed. For me it's a responsibility...it's a matter of honour and pride. Once i have been narrated my role i don't even enter the director's department. In Bhimavaram there is a theatre called Nataraj and listening to Chiranjeevi's songs i would dance outside. I got many a occasion in the past five years to dance in the films but i didn't dare because of the fear of overcating. My mother always said that what ever you learn never gose waste and that i have used those moments for this film has proved her words right. It gives me great satisfaction to say that my film is running in the same theatre where i longed to get inside to watch Chiranjeevi's film once."
Ask him about the working experience in Andala ramudu and Sunil says, "The toughest job was completing the film. I remember shooting for Bommarillu, Boss and Stalin and then jumping over to Boss in the same Annapurna studio. I worked day and night and the long wait looks so fruitfull now. Aarti Agarawal has done a tremendous job and she is the soul of the film."

She has left her footprints in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil films, and now set to make a mark in Punjabi films too. She is excited about her new Telugu film titled ‘Maya Bazaar’, where she acts with Raja. Now, she tells more about the film, her experiences and much more.
Excerpts from the interview:
Tell us about your Telugu film ‘Maya Bazaar’.
At first, I was not sure whether to take up the film or not, as I have not done such roles in Telugu earlier. However, producer Satyanarayana Garu convinced me to give the nod. I began liking it after reading the script a couple of times. It is not a love story but a fun film. I play the role of a sweet, simple and lively girl who loves helping others.
How was it working with director Indraganti Mohan Krishna, actor S P Balasubrahmanyam and co-star Raja?
It was great working with them. Balasubrahmanyam is a legendary singer and hear him sing on the sets was a treat. He even used to make us laugh aloud with hilarious one-liners. It was fun working with Raja. He is a hard working guy.
How did you stepped into tinsel town?
I used to travel a lot since my father was in the army. At first, I came to Mumbai to stay for three weeks but ended up staying for years. I tried my hands in many things before taking up acting. I took up modeling, did a part-time job at Mumbai's Prithvi theatre, tried sale job in a company and even worked in hotel. As fate has it, I succeeded in my fourth screen test and thus never looked back.
Do you feel comfortable working in the South?
I have a special attachment to the South, and maybe it is because I started my career here. People in the north asked me if I were doing a Madrasi film when I first stepped into films but I told them that I was working for a Telugu film, which is a different language. It was tough initially since the language was strange. I thought of returning back home on the fourth day of shooting but my mom convinced me to complete the project. At the end of the day, all the trouble vanished and my dream came true. Fame and fame came and there was no stopping since then.
How about your experience in Tollywood?
‘Yuvakudu’ happened to me when I had no knowledge about films and then I went on to play college girl in ‘Khushi’. I was matured by the time I did ‘Okkadu’ with Mahesh Babu. I played the role of a mentally challenged girl in NTR Jr’s film ‘Simhadri’ and then ‘Samba’ with the same actor. Then films like ‘Missamma’, ‘Naa Autograph’ and Vaasu’ happened. Then I got the opportunity to work with megatar Chiranjevi in ‘Jai Chiranjeeva’.
Could you tell about your co-stars Nagarjuna, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu and NTR?
I have good rapport with all my co-stars. I started my career with Nagarjuna’s family. They all are very good. Chiranjeevi’s energy, dedication and enthusiasm are amazing. He still dances very well in spite of the growing age. Venkatesh is a complete gentleman and my parents like his inclination towards spirituality. Mahesh Babu is a quite yet hardworking man and NTR is a good dancer.
How was your experience in Tamil films?
My Tamil debut film ‘Rojakootam’ is still close to my heart. We had lots of fun shooting for the film. I have no regrets though ‘Sillunu Oru Kathal’ failed, as I enjoyed working for it, and most importantly, people liked my character. It was great working with Surya and Jyothika. You know, Surya is such a humble man.
What are the Hindi films you are working on?
I am working on ‘Benaam’ and ‘Mahatma versus Gandhi’. I play the role of Gandhi's daughter-in-law in ‘Mahatma versus Gandhi’. I also have a Punjabi film directed by Deepak Garewal. It features Om Puri and Gurdas Mann in the lead roles and 80 percent of its shooting was done in Canada. The rest of the film will be shot in India this month.
How was it working with Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Dil Jo Bhi Kahen’ and ‘Family’, Salman Khan in ‘Tere Naam’ and Abhishek Bachchan in ‘Run’?
Working with Amitabh Bachchan was a dream come true. It was a great experience working with him. He has grown old yet he is still humorous, punctual and energetic. Newcomers will get lots of inspiration by just watching him. It was great working with Salman in ‘Tere Naam’. He is giving, caring and helpful unlike his bad public image. He is a good human being. Working with Abhishek is also fun. You know, he makes pranks on the sets.

NTR’s Kantri Movie Review!
Time to review NTR’s Kantri and let me state at the outset that my wife could not wait for the movie to get over and was relieved when finally the curtain came down and it was time to leave!!! If this tells you everything you need to know about the movie and you don’t want to read the rest I can understand. For those who want the complete details read on.
A couple come back to their village after making tons of money in the United States and the husband wants to fulfill his father’s (the village head) desire of providing employment to every family in the village and decides on opening a sugar factory for the same. His best friend Prakash Raj however wants the money for himself and in cahoots with Ashish Vidyarthi kills the couple, their son and the grandfather played by Mukesh Rishi. Prakash Raj’s wife does not agree with the murders that Prakash Raj has committed for money and leaves him taking their only son with her. Move forward to 20 years and we are introduced to NTR known as Kranti to those who are close to him and as Kantri to those who cross his path. Prakash Raj by now is a mega mafia don who even Interpol cannot touch and is now based in Honk Kong and Ashish Vidyarthi is running his criminal empire back home. Things move along and NTR joins Prakash Raj’s gang as one of the gang members and owing to being the hero rises up quickly in the hierarchy much to the chagrin and jealousy of Ashish Vidyarthi and a truckload of villains in Prakash Raj’s gang. Things take a turn and it is revealed that NTR is Prakash Raj’s long lost son and with Prakash Raj becoming a devoted daddy to NTR this alienates Prakash Raj and his henchmen and differences crop up between Prakash Raj and Ashish Vidyarthi who ends up joining hands with Sayaji Shinde who is arch rival to Prakash Raj who finds himself all alone and only with son NTR remaining with him. It is then revealed that NTR is not Prakash Raj’s son, but that he is son of the couple murdered by Prakash Raj and that even his grandfather Mukesh Rishi has survived. NTR takes all the money that Prakash Raj has (1000 crores to be exact and that too in a truck!) and in time for the climax all villains come together forgetting all their years of enmity and an entire truckload of villains get taken care of by NTR singlehandedly and without breaking into a sweat.
By the way before I forget let me mention that Hansika Motwani is the heroine and is there mainly for some romance and songs and even Tanisha is there in a blink and you will miss role playing Ashish Vidyarthi’s daughter who falls for NTR but then makes way for Hansika Motwani. The movie is mainly made for NTR fans who cannot get enough of him and Kantri should satisfy NTR’s fans. NTR is good in fights (there are lots of them), acts well and dances well. The song I Go Crazy is very differently choreographed and picturized.
Coming to performances, it is NTR’s movie all the way and made to order for his fans. However, the movie does tend to dragKantri and is a little long and could be made better with trimming 30 minutes and a couple of songs off. Even the fights are long and drawn out and get boring beyond a point. If you are not an NTR fan then you will find it hard to enjoy the movie especially the fairer sex who generally avoid the blood and gore and revenge movies. You will want to give Kantri a miss unless you are a hardcore fan of NTR and if you are one then there is no way you are even going to be agreeing with this reviewer to begin with.
Prabhas’ Bujjigaadu Made In Chennai Movie Review!
BujjigaaduBujjigaadu is an out and out Prabhas movie. You will either love it or hate it and it all depends on whether you like Prabhas or not. If you do then the movie will be just perfect for you, if not then you will most probably not like the movie. It is Prabhas’ show all the way in Bujjigaadu, his dressing is a lot improved, he has better control over his diction, sports a six-pack and even looks good onscreen. If you are a Prabhas fan then Bujjigaadu is a feast for all your senses and you are going to enjoy it thoroughly. Trisha as always is a feast for the eyes and a sight for sore eyes. Only Mohan Babu is wasted in Bujjigaadu and plays more of a supporting role and while being a good actor does a commendable job, the role itself does not do anything to elevate Mohan Babu the actor.
Music too is a big letdown for Bujjigaadu and certainly not up to the mark for a Puri Jagannath movie seeing that music has always been a strong point in all his previous movies like Chirutha, Desamuduru, Pokiri, etc. In fact the only song hummable is Chitti Aayire by Pradeep Somasundaran and Sonu Kakkar with some replay value since it’s got a groovy and a peppy beat to it.
Coming to the story, well there is little of it in Bujjigaadu, but here it is. Prabhas and Trisha are the best of friends right fromBujjigaadu their childhood and yes elements of child romance here. However, differences crop up between them and that’s when Trisha decides she no longer wants to see or meet with Prabhas till they are both older which is 12 years later. This means Prabhas runs away to Chennai, well some reason is needed for him to go to Chennai so that the tagline “Made In Chennai” is relevant. Once the 12 years are up Prabhas comes back to meet up with Trisha, but owing to circumstances they are not able to meet and instead Prabhas comes to Hyderabad to kill Mohan Babu who also happens to be Trisha’s brother. How Trisha finds her Bujjigaadu and how all the good guys come together and finish off the bad guys forms the rest of story.
Production values by Creative Commercials are top notch. Fights are good in the movie since action is Prabhas’ forte with his six-pack abs and great physique. Comedy is good in parts. Wish Mohan Babu had more to do in the movie. For fans of Prabhas Bujjigaadu will be a good time at the movies since Prabhas is near perfect in the role of Bujjigaadu. He fights and dances well. Acting too is pretty decent, but then the movie is pretty light all the way through and does not demand much in the acting department. There are the usual truckload of villains for Prabhas to dispense with aplomb, but the fairer sex might find the action long and drawn out at places. All in all a good time pass movie and certainly worth the admission price of the ticket especially for fans of Prabhas and there are lots of them.
